State of Hawaii ETF Program

January 1st, 2020 - July 31, 2021

Q: What is the State of Hawaii's ETF Program?

A: The ETF(Employment Training Fund) program is a State Funded Program that allows an appeared vendor (us) to train the local workforce in a variety of pre-approved courses.

Q: What is the benefit of utilizing the ETF Program?

A: The State of Hawaii will pay for 50% of the cost of the training, per person!

Q: What is the catch?

A: There isn't a catch, just an extra form you (the employer) needs to complete and submit (before the applicable deadline) to qualify. Please note the state does not cover the cost of shipping the textbooks ($7.90).

Q: Where are these trainings?

A: These qualifying trainings can be found on our training calendar or under the registration section of our website.  Only courses with the phrase "ETF Approved Course" on the course description will qualify for the reimbursement. Click Here for our Calendar of Trainings

Q: What comes with the ETF trainings?

A: The same things that come with the general or private trainings are included.

Q: What happens if I register but need to cancel my attendance?

A: If you've submitted your ETF form to the State, you'll do nothing, we will send in your cancellation.

If you have already received your textbook or study materials, you will need to send those back, within 7 days of cancellation or the amount in full is still due(full amount of training includes both your portion and the states reimbursement).

Q:  How do we register for an ETF training?

A: You can register by visiting the registration section of the website and selecting your date of training.  Please also then select that you're looking to participate in the ETF portion of the financing and we will send over the forms along with your confirmation of registration. Click Here

Q: I still have questions, who can I speak with?

A: You can call us at (808) 377-4717 or email us at tina@aikahuculinarysolutions.com
